 Ever thought about your safety and that of your family?  The crime rate is on the rise and statistics show 8 of 10 people will be involved in a violent crime in their lifetime.  Supreme court rules, Police under no obligation to help you! You are responsible to protect yourself & family.
This class will consist of 6 hours of instruction in the classroom and on the range.  The student may bring their own handgun (no "Saturday nite specials or derringers" allowed). One box (50 rounds) of ammunition, safety glasses and ear protection.  The cost of the course is $100.00, husband and wife $150.00.  NRA members (Bring card) and Police, Fire -$75.00.  Your license is valid for 5 years.   Currently 38 States recognize Arkansas's CCW Permit (Check ASP website for latest updates).  Hand outs and any other needed material will be provided.  Students need to go to WWW.arkansas.gov/CHCL to complete application pay state fee and get authorization (CHCL) number.  You need this number on your training form.   BRING APPLICATION TO CLASS WITH YOU.

Remember:  Go to www.arkansas.gov/chcl and complete the application.  If you register online you will get an authorization number.  Write this number (and CHCL # if renewing) on the proper form.  Bring your form or authorization number to the class with you.  We will furnish the fingerprint cards.  The training certificate is available on line from ASP site.

There are now 38 states that have reciprocity with Arkansas.  You can find these online. 

Loaner weapons available no charge, YOU MUST BRING YOUR OWN AMMUNITION.
Do I qualify for an Arkansas CCW permit?

U.S. Citizen
Arkansas resident for past 90 days or longer:
At least 21 years old:
Not committed an act of violence in the past 5 years:
Not convicted of a crime of domestic violence:
Not a convicted felon ever:
Not a fugitive from justice:
Be able to pass a criminal background check:
Not a chronically and habitual user of alcohol or controlled substances:
Not been adjudicated  mentally incompetent:
Never voluntary or involuntary committed to a mental facility:
Willing to complete the prescribed course of instruction in the classroom and on the range:
Willing to submit finger prints:

Classes will address but not limited to: Safety Safety Safety,Self defense, applicable laws ie. use of deadly force,Reciprocal states, Where and where not to carry, Proper carry-loading & unloading and storage of your handgun, Safe and proper handling and practice techniques, concealed carry holsters and proper safety on the range.  Anyone not following the safety officers instructions will be asked to leave and deemed to have failed the course.
